First responders, including the North West Ambulance Service and an air ambulance, rushed to the scene, highlighting the severity of the incident. The worker was swiftly transported to the hospital, where he was pronounced dead. The construction company, Laing O’Rourke, confirmed the worker’s involvement in the project and expressed shock and sorrow over the tragedy. Merseyside Police and the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) are actively investigating the incident, emphasizing the need for a comprehensive understanding of the circumstances surrounding the fatality.
