PPI provides a range of PRINCE2® courses in Australia
PRINCE2® Foundation Course & Examination (3 Days)
Project and team managers, project support teams and managers from other disciplines wishing to develop an understanding of PRINCE2® and its practical application and sit the PRINCE2® Foundation and Practitioner exams.
Ideally, delegates should have project related experience and knowledge and should already be working in a project based environment.
PRINCE2® Practitioner Course & Examination (2 Days)
All delegates must have a pass in the PRINCE2® Foundation exam; participants have the option of continuing immediately to undertake the Practitioner course and exam (2 days), or to register for a later Practitioner course and exam session.
For both options, the participant receives a Practitioner Exam Study Pack that includes detailed exam guidance material and a sample exam. It is essential that participants have access to the manual "Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2®" during preparation, the Practitioner course and the exam.
PRINCE2® Foundation & Practitioner Courses Combined Package (3 + 2 days)
This package is designed for those wishing to advance to the Practitioner level immediately. The course combines both the Foundation syllabus (3 days and Foundation exam) and then continues into the Practitioner course (2 days). This is the most expedient route in which to attain PRINCE2® Practitioner level accreditation.
PRINCE2® Foundation Self-Study & 1 Hour Examination
This course is a paper based course that covers the same material as the 3 day PRINCE2® Foundation Course, with additional study guides and tutorial notes. It includes sample exercises that can be submitted via email for feedback as part of the preparation. Foundation exam sessions are conducted by MetaPM in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane and Perth and are included in the course cost.
PRINCE2® Practitioner Re-Registration Preparation & Exam (Self Study)
This self-study course is for participants who wish to attempt the PRINCE2® Practitioner Re-Registration Exam. The PRINCE2 Examination Board has determined that all PRINCE2 Practitioners should be re-registered within 3-5 years of their original certification.
This course is also offered as a 2-day course if requested. Please contact us if you would like further information.
(Please note that this Objective Testing Exam (OTE) style was released on 1st September 2007 and is very different to the previous essay style Practitioner exam).
PRINCE2® Practitioner Preparation Course & 2.5 Hour Exam (Self Study)
This self-study course assists the participant to prepare themselves for the PRINCE2® Practitioner exam (included), the higher level of the internationally recognised PRINCE2® project management qualification. On registering, the participant receives a PRINCE2 Manual – Managing Successful Projects with PRINCE2 2009, Practitioner Exam Study Pack, which includes detailed study guidance material, a sample exam, and a copy of the Rational Management POTENT (Practitioner Objective Testing Exam Navigation Tool), as well as receiving a spreadsheet Exam Answer Booklet for email based marking of the sample exam questions. Participants must have previously passed the PRINCE2® Foundation certification. See PRINCE2® Practitioner Exam page for details on the actual exam.
PRINCE2® Foundation Upgrade Workshop & Exam (1 Day)
This workshop is intended for participants who have completed a 2 day PRINCE2® Express Project Management Method course and who wish to attempt the PRINCE2® Foundation exam.
PRINCE2® Project Board Members Course (Half Day)
This course provides a high level coverage of all elements of the PRINCE2® Project Management Methodology. This course is designed to:
- Explain the purpose, scope and value of the PRINCE2® methodology
- Introduce the PRINCE2® processes, themes and principles
- Provide the knowledge to enable the participant to participate effectively as a Project Board member on a PRINCE2® project
PRINCE2® Overview Course (1 Day)
The PRINCE2® Overview provides a high level coverage of all elements of the PRINCE2® Project Management Methodology. This course is designed to:
- Explain the purpose, scope and value of the PRINCE2® methodology
- Introduce and explain the PRINCE2® processes, themes and principles
- Provide the knowledge to enable the participant to participate effectively as a team member in a PRINCE2® project
PRINCE2® Refresher Workshop (1 Day)
For Project Managers, Team Leaders, Project Teams who may have previously undertaken a PRINCE2® course but need to refresh and update their skills.
All PRINCE2 courses and workshops will be provided by MetaPM Learning Pty Ltd, an APMG-Australasia Accredited Training Organization.
